Event Details

This seminar will look at the historical roots of the world's three major monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  We'll discuss when and how the different faiths developed, overview some of their central beliefs and practices, and explore way in which they overlap and differ.  This seminar's purpose is to provide an overview of what scholars and practitioners of different faiths believe, not to debate which ideas/religions are good or bad.  If you'd like to know more about any of these religions and how they relate to one another but weren't really sure where to start, this seminar is a great place to begin!

Keith West holds a BA in Religious Studies, an MA in Communications, and is an ordained minister.  He specializes in making complicated topics accessible to the average citizen and mediating discussion on potentially contentious issues.
